A Glowy Romantic Wedding At Vintage Villas
As an Austin wedding photographer, there are some weddings that I just know are going to exude love and joy from the second I arrive to the venue. That’s exactly what Matt and Summer’s day did in October 2023. I had the privilege of documenting their truly magical wedding at Vintage Villas overlooking the iconic Austin landmark of Lake Travis. The glowy setting over the lake itself was breathtaking, with the bridal party bathed in soft hues of light blue that perfectly complemented the romantic vibes of the evening.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear this day would be special. The bride already had hair and make up done to make her baby blue eyes POP. She looked truly stunning already, but then she put her dress on and she was absolutely perfect; ready to marry the love of her life. With the stunning romantic vibes felt early in the day, the fun aspect was quickly added when Summer shared with me that she’d like the best man to do a fake first look before hers and that she wanted all the bridesmaids to ICE all the men aiming to keep the tone light and fun before the emotional ceremony took place.
Once it was time for the ceremony, the romantic and emotional vibes came rushing in. As Summer walked down the aisle with her dad, her eyes filled with tears which I’m told she’s not typically one to show her emotions, but the feelings of love that day were just too strong. The groom, Matt, with a look of awe and adoration, couldn't take his eyes off her. It was a scene straight out of a novel, filled with true love and authentic emotions. I aimed to capture those natural and emotional moments reflecting the genuine joy and happiness of everyone present that day.
As the sun set over Lake Travis, the celebration continued into the night with a lively dance floor and a band that pumped infectious energy into the room. Laughter and joy echoed across the venue, creating an atmosphere of pure happiness and nostalgia. It was evident that this was not just a wedding, but a joyous gathering of family and friends overcome by love and celebration.
As an Austin wedding photographer, this is why I love doing this so much. Capturing these amazing moments—where modern, clean design meets natural beauty and authentic emotions— it is an honor. It's about preserving memories that will be cherished for a lifetime, embodying the essence of love and happiness in every frame.
