A Secret Garden Themed Wedding Day

Laura and Caleb’s wedding day was nothing short of remarkable. Now, serving primarily as an Orlando Wedding Photographer, I know Florida’s landscape is quite different from Texas, but special, as it includes the beauty of tropical plants, magical sunsets, Spanish moss and stunning resorts, but this wedding’s Texas hill country captures the natural beauty of that area! Being surrounded by nature’s beauty for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and indoors for the reception, not only does the floor to ceiling windows bring the outdoors in, but the amazing vendor team for Laura and Caleb’s wedding day exuded the idea of bringing nature inside with a total secret garden theme wedding.

At every corner you turned, the decor felt like a new garden surprise. The cake had wild flowers appear to be dancing around it and the table scapes were full of moss and wild trinets. I can’t wait to see Florida wedding versions of this idea using plants like banana leaves and tropical palm trees as my books start to fill up for 2025-2026 wedding days!

Aside from the decor, a special part of the day according to Laura was being able to have her dog Frankie get ready with her and her bridesmaids in the morning. It was not only so much fun to have him, but also helped calm her nerves she reported. I love capturing dogs on wedding days and in engagement sessions. Having two of my own, who walked down the aisle at my own wedding, they truly are family.

Laura and Caleb decided to save the big reveal to each other for the moment they walked down the aisle, rather than doing a first look and Caleb’s reaction did not disappoint! He was blown away by Laura’s beauty and that was evident. Following a traditional ceremony, the couple’s big family gathered for many family photos and the amount of love that could be felt from having so many family and guests present for the day was undeniable.

As I start to prepare for the Florida wedding season of 2025, I am so excited to start working with so many new and talented vendors, my amazing booked couples and exploring some of the prettiest resorts and venues I think we have in this country! Like Austin, Orlando and Tampa are HUGE wedding markets and being able to move from one luxury wedding market to the next in weather that allows for gorgeous ceremonies and celebrations in nature most of the year, is truly a gift I am not taking for granted.

If you’re getting married in Florida and still looking for a Central Florida wedding photographer, I would love to chat more as dates are filling up fast!
